    How ParksRadar™ works

ParksRadar calls each park's day good, some trouble or rough, for that kind of park: from the weather forecast, and from how busy the day looks against that park's own normal. On the map, green is a good day, amber is some trouble, red is a rough day, and black is a park that is closed today.

Ratings and hours are forecasts, not official figures. Always confirm on the official park site.

by the dawn's early light, a large red, white and blue banner? Whose broad stripes and bright stars... were so gallantly streaming...over Fort McHenry! The valiant defense of the fort during the Battle of Baltimore on September 13-14, 1814 inspired Francis Scott Key to write the words that became the U.S. national anthem. The fort's history holds many other stories too, from the Civil War to WWII.
