Bag policy
Bags are allowed; security screening at the entrance. No coolers over 24 by 15 by 18in, no glass.
Loose articles on rides
Secure items before Test Track, Guardians and Mission: SPACE; most other rides are gentle.

Food, water & money
Disney allows outside food and drink; no glass and no large coolers.
- Bring an empty refillable bottle. Free water from fountains or quick-service counters beats paying for bottled water all day, and it keeps you ahead of the heat in line.
- Mobile-order your meals. Where the park app offers it, ordering ahead skips the longest food lines, which peak at the same midday hours the rides do.
- Carry a little cash as backup. Most of the park is cashless, but a few lockers, vendors, or tips can be easier with it.
Parking & rideshare
Standard self-parking runs about $35. Approximate; standard fee (~$35/day) covers all four WDW parks. Preferred higher. Free for Disney Resort hotel guests.
If you are taking Uber or Lyft, look for the park’s designated rideshare pickup point, which is often separate from the main parking exit and signposted near the entrance plaza; pickup after close is the slowest moment of the day, so build in a wait.
Skip the line without paying
- Single rider line. Where offered, it splits your group to fill odd seats and can cut a long wait to a few cycles, perfect when you do not mind not sitting together.
- Rider switch. One adult waits with a child who is too short or does not want to ride while the rest ride, then they swap without re-queuing. Ask a ride host how to set it up.
- Rope drop and the last hour. The cheapest skip-the-line is timing: the first hour after opening and the final hour before close are when the headliners run shortest.
Rain & weather plan
Outdoor coasters close for lightning and high wind, and they reopen once it passes, so a passing storm is a lull, not a lost day. Pack a cheap poncho rather than an umbrella (umbrellas are awkward in queues and banned on rides), plan indoor rides, shows, or a sit-down meal for the heaviest part of a storm, and watch the radar; afternoon storms in summer often clear within the hour and leave shorter lines behind them.
